The eighth UK F2 workshop was held on Friday and Saturday 15-16 September 2023. There were three very late cancellations but I was able to find replacements for them, so they did not lose any money. The 6 attendees were from the UK (5, three were repeat attendees from previous workshops), and Bahrain.
The course book was expanded from 246 to 261 pages. Again I asked the attendees to follow the book by themselves. The three repeat attendees worked much faster than the three new attendees, but the course book enabled all of them to work at very different paces and I was able to help them whenever they had problems. However, I noted much more improvements are needed so I will add further chapters in the course book.
All but one attendee finished their F2 bodies by 5.30pm and they helped me to pack most things up by 6pm. For the attendee who couldn’t finish, I finished the body and serviced his finder shortly after the workshop.
We went to the now usual local Chinese restaurant at 6.30pm for the end of course meal, which we greatly enjoyed eating the food and the socialising.
Feedbacks from the participants :
“Thank you so much for running the workshop and thank you for your patience. I’ve had a couple more goes with re-foaming in the way that you showed me. Definitely improving! I just have to do it slowly and reverse the moment I notice a problem.”
“Really enjoyed the workshop.”
“Words cannot convey my gratitude for making all of this possible. I was nervous before the workshop since I didn't know what I'll face but your book literally held my hand through every step!! Really detailed and well written. I can't imagine how the macro shots of the internals were taken!! Please sign me up for when this book is released.”
“For me it was also really really useful to be able to take the work book home after the first day, and re-read through it.”
“Many thanks for your help, encouragement and excellent tuition on the course.”
“Just wanted to thank you for your help these past few days. I really enjoyed it and can say truthfully that I have learned a lot about the F2 and the complexities of your work. I would love to come to another workshop of yours in the future and learn a few more techniques; please put me on the list or failing that, the reserve list. I am definitely inspired.”
